Delete your Kinfold account

You can permanently delete your Kinfold account and personal data at any time.

In the app

1. Open Kinfold and sign in.
2. On the home screen, tap the account icon in the top right.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Enter your password and confirm.

Without the app

Email privacy@kinfold.org from the address you registered with, with the subject "Delete my Kinfold account". We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.

How long it takes

When you delete your account in the app, your data is deleted right away. It can take up to 15 minutes before you are signed out on all your devices.

What gets deleted

• Your profile: email address, name and password.
• Shopping lists, todos and budgets that are not part of a group.
• Share links you created, and your access to other people's lists and groups.
• All your sign-in sessions.

What stays

• Groups you own are handed over to another member so they keep working. If you are the only member, the group is deleted.
• Items and lists you added to a shared group or to someone else's list stay for the other members, with your name removed.
• Copies in encrypted database backups are overwritten within 30 days.
